Steel for canning day, silicone for every day

Both sets fit wide and regular mouth jars, and both carry a strainer that drops into the bowl. The difference is what else you fill. The steel set has two spouts, 2.25 and 1.42 inches, under bowls big enough for a full ladle of hot jam. The silicone set has three, 2.2, 1.56 and half an inch, so the smallest also drops into a bottle neck, and all three fold into flat rings.

If you can every summer and want something that sits on a hot jar without a second thought, pick steel. If drawer space is short, or you refill oil, kombucha or water bottles as often as jars, pick silicone. Either way, wipe the rim with a damp paper towel before the lid goes on.

Questions

Questions about the Delove canning funnel

Will a Delove canning funnel fit your wide mouth jars?

Yes. The large steel funnel has a 2.25-inch spout and the blue silicone funnel a 2.2-inch spout, both for wide mouth jars. The small steel funnel and the green silicone one fit regular mouth jars.

Which Delove canning funnel should you pick for hot jam?

Either works with hot food. The steel set is the sturdier choice for a long canning day, and the silicone set is the one that folds flat afterwards.

Do you get a strainer with each Delove canning funnel set?

Yes. The steel set has an umbrella strainer that sits in either funnel, and the silicone set has one strainer that fits all three funnels.
